I write uplifting, award-winning novels for tweens (and readers of all ages) who love horses, inspiring them to be more courageous, compassionate, and resilient. Horses play a big role in my books, but the heart of my writing revolves around themes of friendship, family, and the healing power of love and forgiveness.

I also write Christian journals, workbooks, and devotional books under the name L. H. Haslam.

I live in Southern Maine, USA, with my husband, adult son, and two adorably naughty cats. My daughter and I share ownership of Max, a 29-year-old palomino miniature horse who loves to jump.
